Prospective new owners are, of course, carefully checked for suitability.<\/p>\r\n<p>These puppies are bred by dedicated and very caring enthusiasts in their own homes. They are not bred commercially, and very definitely not from puppy farms.<\/p>\r\n<p>Please be aware that as Dandies are high up on the Kennel Club\u2019s Vulnerable Native Breeds list their numbers are scarce and you may need to wait a little while before owning one.  We can assure you, however, that having a Dandie in your life is well worth the wait.  Dandies make excellent companion dogs and family pets. They have non-shedding coats and need to be hand stripped.<\/p>\r\n<p>Each March you can usually meet Dandies and their owners on the Discover Dogs aisle at Crufts at the NEC.
