Kennel Club registration figures have just been released and show that 37 new Dandies were registered in the third quarter of 2009. This follows 28 in the first quarter and a mere 17 in the second, bringing us to just 82 registrations in the first three quarters of the year.

DDTC Magazine wins third prize

Which reminds me...  it's that time of year where we start asking for articles for the 2010 magazine.  We rely on contributions from our members to keep the magazine fresh and interesting.  We have a few regular contributors (to whom we are always grateful), but it would be great to have a little more variety.  So why not have a go.  We're happy to help type and edit any work.

Any Dandie subjects are welcome - working Dandies, show Dandies, racing Dandies, slow Dandies, old Dandies, young Dandies, pet Dandies, PAT Dandies, wet Dandies, fat Dandies, first Dandies, last Dandies, health, disability, obedience, agility... disobedience...?

Perhaps an article on topknots, or if that is too controversial, a few short anonymous articles on topknots?

The closing date for contributions is the beginning of May, but it would be really helpful if they could be with us sooner - my workload varies throughout the year but is generally quiet in the winter and very busy from May onwards.  It is a huge amount of work putting the magazine together, and I'm running short of Midnight Oil!

Please send any suggestions or contributions to the editor.
