Discover Dogs - pictures please

p1050436Jim and Kathy Culverhouse are looking for more pictures to use for the Discover Dogs stand.

We would like photos of Dandies at work, rest play etc. We are planning to freshen the Discover Dogs display and need more pictures so that the display can be varied more easily.  If possible we would like the pictures e-mailed to us.

Many thanks,

Jim and Kathy

Yearly puppy registration figures
Saturday, 30 January 2010 22:37
Registrations 1880-2009

The Kennel Club's latest registration figures show another poor year for Dandie registrations - 26 puppies registered in the fourth quarter of 2009 bringing the yearly total to 108.  The above graph shows the annual registration figures from 1880 to 2009.  The first two dips are the two world wars, with another serious dip in 1976 to 1977.  The peak between the wars was in 1937, when 483 Dandies were registered.  Will we ever see that again?

Discover Dogs at Crufts
Sunday, 17 January 2010 16:05

A message from Jim and Kathy Culverhouse...

p1050044Crufts is fast approaching and we have taken over the task of co-ordinating Discover Dogs this year. We need people for morning or afternoon sessions preferably with at least two dogs. We will be covering the Sunday afternoon session as the stall needs to be taken down and Saturday morning, although we only have one dog; so we could do with another person plus dog for Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon is covered. The sessions run from 9am - 1pm and 1pm - 5pm. Terrier day on the Friday will be difficult to cover so if anybody is willing to cover that day we would be especially grateful. If you are willing to man the stall please contact Kathy on 01344 425841 a.s.a.p. Passes for entry and the car park will be supplied as well as refreshment tokens. It is a great opportunity to promote the breed.

As they say, this is a rare and important chance to let the public meet and get to know our breed.
