Birmingham National

Staffordshire County Showground, 11th May 2019. Judge: Mr Jan-Erik Ek.

I enjoyed judging the Dandies alot and would like to thank you all for your entries. The quality was very high and several top quality exhibits were in the running for the top awards. I had never before seen or judged such a big number of Dandies of this quality so it was a bit of a hallelujah moment for me. Temperaments were excellent throughout the day and I was in many cases impressed by the reach and drive in movements. Some toplines were a little exaggerated but for the most part they were correct. Fronts always need to be watched and in some cases I would have liked a little more coat.

This dog’s excellent breed type hit me in the eye the minute he entered the ring. He is so well constructed and has an excellent front. Good head and expression. Good coat and well carried tail. Super movements and he carried himself beautifully I awarded him the CC and Best of Breed and he was later short listed in the group, well done.
